TROWBRIDGE booked a Dorset & Wilts 2nd XV Cup semi final trip to Salisbury with a fine 27-8 triumph at Oakmeadians in their last-eight clash.
They opened the scoring 15 minutes in as Nev White booted a penalty and continued to dominate, stretching their lead when Lewis Jordan finished off a series of attacks with the opening try.
Nick Wheeler replied with a penalty for the home side, but the visitors, fielding several Colts making their senior debuts, extended their lead with a pushover try from Russ Preston, converted by White.
Oaks stepped up the pressure and Tom Morgan’s try cut the deficit, but they were unable to convert the score and just before he break, colt Archie Moore broke down the wing to score Trowbridge’s third try.
Both sides tested each other in the second half, but it was Trowbridge who added to their tally as Ashley Chalk broke through the to score under the posts, White adding the extras.
