DEVIZES maintained their 100 per cent away record with a comprehensive win at South Marston to maintain the leadership of Southern Counties South.

The Saddlebacks ran in 10 tries as they registered their seventh league victory of the season.

An early Marine penalty gave them the lead, but the visitors got off the mark after 10 minutes when Lewis Paget drove over from close range and fly-half Andy Thompson booted the conversion.

They then seized control as a further five tries were scored before half time, Mark Warburton, man of the match Craig Bryant, Damon Murphy, Jorge Wadman and Paul Kuipers all going over, Wadman for his fifth try in three games and Kuipers for his first of the season.

Marine kicked two further penalties after the break, but the Saddlebacks dominated, causing the hosts no end of problems when the ball was spun wide.

Further scores from Ryan Webb, Julian Taylor, John Angell and Nick Balls sealed a convincing victory, Thompson adding a further seven conversions.

Saturday's league match against Trowbridge match will be played as a double header, as a memorial match for late forwards coach Dave Sullivan, a stalwart of both clubs, and Bath Combination cup tie.
