HIGHWORTH twice surrendered the lead in a 2-2 Hellenic Premier Division draw at Reading Town last night.
On-loan TJ Bohane, back in the team after returning from holiday, scored a goal either side of half time, but the visitors were pegged back on both occasions, the latter a late free-kick costing Highworth victory.
Meanwhile, Les Gill is hoping his Shrivenham side can bounce back from Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Abingdon when they travel to Oxford City Nomads tonight.
Shrivvy are rock-bottom of the Hellenic Premier and boss Gill said: “There’s no question we could do with a win just to get the confidence back.
“We’ve won in the cups recently but I’d rather those results had come in the league.
“We’ve worked so hard over the last few weeks and the weekend was so disappointing.
“They scored through a sloppy backpass and a worldy goal, so it was a bit unfortunate for us.
“But I’m confident we can move on and go for it. We will keep plugging away.”
Gill is without several players tonight including Taylor Gill, but he is able to welcome back Warren Fuller and Lewis Sopp.
