WARMINSTER were unable to capitalise on a promising first half as a maiden Dorset & Wilts One South victory of the season eluded them at their second-placed hosts.
Salisbury trundled over for an early converted try, but Warminster got themselves back into it as centre Kris Clayton made a clean break before number eight Carl Hall barged over, Jason Sprangle missing a difficult conversion.
Galvanised, the visitors added a second score as full-back Rob Johnson’s break ended with winger Chris Douglas touching down for a 10-7 half-time lead.
However, Salisbury got themselves back in front after the interval and four further unanswered tries condemned Warminster to defeat.
