COLERNE made it eight league wins out of eight in Dorset & Wilts Three North with victory over their nearest rivals.

Calne started the brighter and pummelled away at the home side for the first 15 minutes.

But it was Colerne who eventually broke the deadlock from a close-range scrum in the 27th minute as number eight Ryan Willcox picked up and drove over.

The home side eventually took a firm grip on proceedings in the second half as scrum-half Glyn Hodgkinson picked up from the back of a ruck drove over.

With the front five putting the visitors on the back foot, Willcox picked up and driving over the line for his second of the game.

Calne grabbed their consolation two minutes from the end when, as Colerne ran the ball out from deep, they were intercepted by Paul Herring for a score he converted.
