FLU-HIT Shelley Rudman finished well down the field at the women's FIBT World Cup round in Altenberg, Germany, today.
Rudman, who had also been suffering from the effects of a chest infection which hindered her preparations, finished seventh as Bath's Lizzy Yarnold narrowly missed out on her third World Cup podium of the season.
Yarnold finished fourth improving from fifth place after her first run to finish 0.06 seconds behind third-placed Noelle Pikus-Pace of the US. Germany's Marion Thees won the race with another American, Katie Uhlaender, second.
Britain's Donna Creighton came in a creditable seventh.
