SECOND Division, Lamb FC, who were last season’s Wiltshire Junior Cup beaten finalists, are the only flag bearers for the Trowbridge League in this term's competition after they put out fiery Salisbury League One outfit Chalke Valley.
Valley had accounted for first division Seend United in the last round but with Richard Stevens' side were just too good for their hosts at the Stallards as thanks to a 4-1 success they kept the cup dreams alive.
Lamb lead 1-0 at the break courtesy of a Bradley King-Taylor goal.
Chalke Valley got themselves on level terms in the second half before Ryan Underwood reclaimed the lead for the Lamb.
King-Taylor missed a penalty Lamb looked to increase their lead, his blushes were spared by debutant Tom Blackman who made it 3-0 before King-Taylor atoned for his miss from the spot with his teams fourth goal of the game.
Ashton Keynes 4 Castle Combe 2
CASTLE Combe, who caused the shock of the previous round when they dispatched Boomsbury, couldn’t repeat their giantkilling antics when they visited Wilts League division one side Ashton Keynes who progressed to the last four thanks to a 4-2 success.
Combe were 3-0 down at the break and although Mark Bolton and Will Gale scored second-half goals for Paul Sanderson’s side it was a case of too little to late as a fourth Ashton Keynes goal ended the cup interest for another season.
