ALAN King has warned leading contender Araldur is far from certain to take his chance in the William Hill Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton on Saturday.
Having lost his way over fences towards the end of last term, the nine-year-old was switched back to the smaller obstacles for the start of this season and made a winning comeback in a valuable handicap at Sandown.
He is a 12-1 shot with the sponsors for this weekend's prestigious Lanzarote Hurdle, but he may take his chance in a Pertemps qualifier at Warwick on the same day.
"I'm not sure whether Araldur will run or not. He might just go to Warwick instead," said Barbury Castle trainer King.
Whether Araldur lines up or not, King could still be represented in the Lanzarote by outsider Secret Edge.
"Secret Edge might take his chance but I would like the weights to go up for him, so we'll have to see," said the trainer.
