SHELLEY Rudman ended the latest round of the FIBT World Cup series in Germany in seventh place.
The Pewsey slider, still recovering from the effects of a chest infection from the Christmas period, clocked 54.71 for her first run in Konigssee.
But she was significantly faster second time out with 53.88 as she moved up a place.
She said: "(I was a) bit disappointed because training had gone really well on clear training days with nice ice conditions, but for the race we had heavy snow fall which didn't help.
"On the flip side, it was nice to be racing and not feeling on death's door like I was last week.
"I'm still recovering from being really ill with flu so guess things are heading in the right direction.''
Rudman lies seventh overall in the series, the penultimate round of which is in Igls, Austria, next weekend, with the World Championships at St Moritz the week after that.
