TROWBRIDGE pilot John Jackson's first competitive outing with former Olympic sprinter Craig Pickering ended with a 19th-place finish at the seventh round of the FIBT World Cup series in Germany today.
The duo were in 16th spot after a first run of 50.74 seconds, with a slower second run of 51.17 dropping them further back.
Pickering, 26, who competed in the 100m and sprint relay at the Beijing Games in 2008, pushed a bobsleigh for the first time on Monday and will be contention for a place at the World Championships in St Moritz at the end of the month.
