BOTH Mark Cox and Jack Tweddell failed to win a tour card or any Order of Merit points on the second day of Q-School in Wigan.

The pair both missed out on day one, although Cox did manage to pick up five ranking points, which could help him win his card if he does not reach the semi-final of either of the two remaining events.

The day got off to a great start for both players as Tweddell beat Darren Ward 6-5 and Cox triumphed over Heikki Hyvonen 6-3 in the Preliminary Round, and it looked as if the duo could make some progress.

But their runs came to an end in the first round, as Cox fell 6-0 to Dale Quince and Tweddell lost 6-3 to Steve Kirkby.

The pair have another chance to win a regular place on the PDC Tour today when the third day gets underway.
