SWINDON School of Gymnastics enjoyed a successful year of competition in 2012.
Despite having only part-time volunteer coaches, the boys still managed to hold their own against other clubs at south west level.
Achievements this year include a silver medal at the regional performance grades as well as individual gold medals and a team bronze medal at the Baskervilles Cup, a competition which features teams from all over the country.
Tom Saunders competed for the south west team that took bronze in the national finals and he finished an impressive 12th individually in the same event.
Saunders finished the year by being selected for the south west elite squad.
SSG, a registered charity, is still looking for a club sponsor. For more information phone 01793 480846 or email ssginfo@tiscali.co.uk.
