BOBSLEIGH: Walker just outside top 10 at halfway point

TROWBRIDGE pilot Paula Walker led the Great Britain 1 bob to 11th position at the midway point of the women's two-man event in the World Championships today.

Walker and brakewoman Gillian Cooke clocked 1:09.02 for their opening run at St Moritz, but were nearly a quarter of a second quicker second time round in 1:08.82.

The final two runs take place tomorrow.
