TROWBRIDGE pilot Paula Walker suffered a disappointing end to her World Championship bid in Switzerland today as she and brakewomen Gillian Cooke finished down in 14th position.
Paxcroft Mead-based Walker slipped from her overnight position of 11th after the final two runs in St Moritz.
Walker, who has been hampered by a knee injury, was only 18th fastest in her third run and lost ground on the top 10.
She said on Twitter: "A truly disappointing day for #TeamWalker. Next stop Sochi World Cup.
"I won't be 100% fit but will be there as I can not afford to miss it.''
Partner John Jackson is 19th after the opening two runs of his two-man bob event, with former Olympic sprinter Craig Pickering as his brakeman.
