TWO potent strike forces were blunted as Town moved 12th in the table with a point at The Conigre.
Buckland boasted former Exeter strike Jamie Mudge and strike partner Gavin Hammon up front to compare to Melksham's freescoring Dan Kovacs and Gary Higdon, but neither partnership was able to conjure up a winner.
Kovacs and Higdon had chances at the end of a low-key first half, Higdon having an effort cleared off the line just before the break.
Hammon went wide for the visitors in the second period, but Kovacs went closest to a breakthrough when his shot struck a post with 20 minutes remaining.
But Buckland nearly stole the points late on when sub Ethan Phillips' effort struck a post and was cleared.
