MID WILTS YOUTH & MINOR LEAGUE: Colts make cup progress

U9 League Cup

CASTLE Combe Colts eased their way into the semi-finals with a 5-0 home win against Devizes Town Youth.

Tom Wallace, Matthew Robinson and Toby Bridgeman-Daw gave the Colts a 3-0 half-time lead before George White and Luke Smith completed the scoring. The Colts go into the hat with Melksham United Tornadoes, Trowbridge Town Youth Lions and Marshfield Juniors.

U10 Daniel Higgs Memorial Trophy

LARKHALL Athletic hung on for a 2-0 home win against Trowbridge Town Youth Tigers, Alex Parsons and Oliver Swan on target. A goal from FC Calne Milan in the last two minutes of extra time gave them victory over Trowbridge Town Lions.

Trowbridge Town Pumas calimed a 4-0 over AFC Corsham Leopards, an own goal, Harvey Frisby, Max Gumm and Hani Rtabi on target.

U11 League Cup

CORY Gardiner, Franek Bigia and Jaden Weston scored for Westbury Youth Lions in their 3-1 home win against Trowbridge Wanderers.

Also through to the semi-finals are FC Chippenham Youth, Warminster Highbury Reds and AFC Corsham Jaguars.

U12 Ron Boucher Memorial Trophy

A HAT-TRICK from Gage Jones and Marcus Tanner’s strike saw Melksham United Hurricanes book their place in the next round after running out 4-1 winners against home side AFC Corsham Lions.

Trowbridge Wanderers progressed to the semi finals after a penalty shootout win over Westbury Youth Lions .

Joe Page, Lucas Piscopo and Stefan Aland scored in a 3-3 draw.

Hurricanes and Trowbridge Wanderers will face Worton and Cheverell and Trowbridge Town Youth or Westbury Youth Tigers in the semi-finals.

U13 Jack Goodenough Memorial Trophy

TROWBRIDGE Town Youth Black had the upper hand against clubmates Trowbridge Town Youth Yellow in their quarter final, winning 7-0 as Reece Talmash scored four times, Ben Phillips twice and Toby Clarke also netted.

George Bendell scored a hat-trick and Ed Scragg the other as Westbury Youth Lions were edged out 5-4 by Frome Town.

Also through to the next round are AFC Corsham and the winners of Melksham United Hurricanes and Bath Arsenal.

U17/18 League Cup

TROWBRIDGE Town Youth ran out convincing 9-2 winners at Laverstock & Ford, Elliot Hughes and Dan Plank with hat-tricks, Joe Cunningham scoring twice and Thomas Buckle the other.

U10 Green Division

SAM Alford scored both for home side Melksham United Tornadoes in their 2-0 win against Castle Combe Colts. U10 Yellow Division ARCHIE Norcott scored once and set up one of two for Sam Whittock in their 3-0 home win against Westbury Youth Spitfires.

FC Calne Rovers edged out clubmates FC Calne Blue 2-1, with goals from Joe Saunders and Zach Davies.

U11 Division Four

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers got their second half of the season off to a flying start with a 7-0 home win against AFC Corsham Leopards, Matthew Henley with a hat-trick, Alex Holmes two and Kye Teague and Josh Penelhum the others.

U13 Green Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers went joint second following their 5-0 win at Bradford Town Panthers, Jonno Ayers scoring twice and Aiden Green, Harry Turner and David Cook the others.

U16 Blue Division

BIDDESTONE ran out 5-2 winners at Sarum Youth moving them to within one point of leaders Holt.

James Coley, Harvey Hale, Kyole Tinson, Ed Sawyer (penalty) and Robbie Tripp scored for Biddestone.
