FOUR players were sent off as AFC Globe charged to a 7-2 win over Queensfield in a stormy District League Premier Division affair.

Josh Connolly and Rich Slattery were sent off for Globe and two Queensfield players were also given their marching orders.

Nigel Baker opened the scoring from James Williams’ pass in the opening stages, before Ash Piotrowski doubled the advantage.

Queensfield pulled one back before the break but following the resumption Jose Da Cruz was brought down in the area and skipper Jon Slattery put away the penalty.

Piotrowski and Baker got their second goals and efforts from Tony Tyler and Brinn Keech meant Queensfield’s second goal was in vain. Michael Chivers and Scott Scanlon scored for the losing side.

Efforts from Steve Winchcombe and Ian McCarthy were not enough to prevent a 4-2 defeat for Auto Engine Tune by DJC Marlborough.

Swiss Chalet Rangers triumphed 4-2 against Village Inn.

Rangers took an early lead through Daryl Herring from close range before Village equalised from the penalty spot.

Neil Herring scrambled home a second and a looping header from the same man made it 3-1.

Village replied once more and went in search for the equaliser, but Rangers countered and Pete Wyatt struck home the fourth.

In Division One, Old Town thumped Chiseldon 6-1 with Steve Nesbitt leading the scoring with a hat-trick. Chris Woods (2) and Jake Johnson also netted.

Goals from Scott Kimber and Jordan Allen helped Sportz Central to a 2-2 draw against Ramsbury.

Peter Byrne banged in four goals as Swindon Spitfires thrashed Fox & Hound 6-1.

Richie Titcombe and Peter Fletcher also scored for Spitfires while Darryl Kemble got Fox’s consolation.
