SWINDON coach Neil Loader sees no reason why his side can’t win all their remaining games in South West 1 East, but believes they are equally capable of losing them all.

The Greenbridge Road side go to Bletchley tomorrow on the back of consecutive away wins over high-flying Reading and rock-bottom Swanage & Wareham, leaving them only eight points shy of third place.

Swindon still have leaders Bracknell left to face this season, and while Loader believes his side are capable of winning each of their eight games, he insisted his players should not get carried away and need to keep their heads.

“Two away wins on the bounce is great for us because we have been known as more of a home team, but if we could make it three it would be amazing,” he said.

“It is all because of the rearranged fixtures due to the snow, so we knew it was coming, but we always seem to have more away games than we do at home at this stage of the season.

“It would be massive for our confidence building, and as a coaching team we have spoken about our schedule because we have the leaders Bracknell to come to our place.

“That will be tough, massively tough, but there is no reason why we can’t be competing to win every one of our games between now and the end of the season.

“If we can it will give us a great finish, but equally, if we are not on our game, we can just as easily lose them all.

“Our league is very competitive this year, and if we had allowed Swanage to keep their tails up we could have been in trouble.

“It didn’t happen that way, and we managed to get the win.”

When Swindon and Bletchley met at Greenbridge Road earlier in the season the home side secured a 59-31 victory in a high-scoring encounter, and Loader is expecting the same again when they travel to Buckinghamshire.

“When we played them before it was a high-scoring game, and they are certainly a side who like to play rugby,” he said.

“But when we managed to get on the front-foot against them we were the dominant side and hard to contain, and we will again try to dominate as much as we can and try to go forward.

“We want to get the possession which will mean they find it hard to put pressure on our backs, and if we do that we should be looking at another victory.

“They seem to score a lot of tries, so we will be expecting that again, but as long as we score more than them we will be happy.”
