Luke Ballinger has returned to Frome
CHIPPENHAM Town winger Luke Ballinger has left the club to return to Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division rivals Frome Town.
Ballingers, the current captain of the England Futsal team, joined the Bluebirds in the summer from the Somerset outfit, but his return has delighted Robins' boss Darren Perrin.
He said: "We didn’t want to loose Luke in the summer but we understood his reasons for wanting a new challenge at the time and are obviously very pleased that he wanted to come back to us as we face a tough run in for the remainder of the season and still challenging for two cups as well.
"It’s just another boost for the club with all the other current fantastic developments off the pitch that are happening at the moment.'
Ballinger told Frome's website: “It’s great to be back and you can tell how much the club has moved on off the pitch since last summer and hopefully I can help both on and off the pitch because I really believe that Frome Town has a very bright future.
"I can’t wait to get back with the boys and hopefully get that team spirit and atmosphere back, I just can’t wait to get started.''
Meanwhile, Frome's Ryan Bennett has completed a permanent transfer to Mangotsfield United.
