ELDENE Rangers finally secured their first win of the season in Under 17/18 Division 2 and they did so in fine style.

Rangers defeated league leaders Liden 1-0 who had been unbeaten up until the weekend.

Both halves were hard-fought but a Shannon Fernandes strike in the second period ensured three points for Eldene.

Under 9 Division 2

BOTH keepers made good saves as Ferndale Rodbourne beat Highworth Town Juniors T 1-0.

A well-worked corner routine saw Ferndale’s Connor Traynor score the only goal.

Under 9 Division 4

SWINDON Rangers produced some excellent passing football to record a 5-0 victory over Wroughton.

Rangers’ goals came courtesy of Imogen Wilkins (3), Jack Lampard and Kevin Prouse.

Under 10 Division 1

LIDEN took the lead against Hungerford Town with a goal from Tom Ponting.

Both sides had their chances but thanks to heroic goalkeeping from James Quick and a goal from Aston Cobb, Liden took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Liden tried to increase their lead after the interval but it was Hungerford who found the net and on two occasions to level the score at 2-2.

Under 10 Division 2

TOM Moore (2) and Liam O'Reilly netted for Wanborough in their 6-3 defeat to Marlborough.

Under 10 Division 3

HIGHWORTH Town Juniors T kept up their excellent form with a 4-1 win at Pewsey Vale.

Thomas Harris (2), Will Webster and Cameron Hicks got Highworth’s goals.

Lewis Paoletta opened the scoring for Stratton against Wootton Bassett in the first half.

Jamie McConnell extended the lead after the break but Bassett pulled a goal back minutes later.

George Herbert sealed the points for Stratton with a superb left-foot strike.

Under 10 Division 4

HIGHWORTH Town Juniors J returned to winning ways with a 4-1 home win against Wootton Bassett Town White.

Drew Ellis opened the scoring in the first half with James Whettam scoring a hat-trick after the break for the home team.

Under 11 Division 1

HIGHWORTH battled back from 2-0 down to share the spoils with Swindon Rangers, as Jack Payne and Harvey Flippance both registered.

Robins trailed 1-0 at half-time to Ferndale but scored four unanswered goals after the break through Brandon Martin, Bradley Hirst, Zac Stewart-Skinner and Harrison Mace.

Under 11 Division 4

BRANDON Doman gave Old Town a 2-0 lead at the break against table-toppers Kingshill as his side dominated proceedings.

Kingshill fought back during the second half but only managed a consolation goal.

Old Town’s win was all the more impressive as they had not played for two months due to the weather.

Under 12 Division 1

SWINDON Rangers A played out a 0-0 draw with Croft Juniors.

Rangers had a number of chances to take the lead but Croft hustled well throughout.

Swindon Rangers and Ferndale Rodbourne played out a thrilling 3-3 draw on a difficult surface.

Ferndale held a slender 3-2 lead at half-time thanks to goals from Callum Barrett (2) and James Matthews, but Rangers equalised after the interval.

Under 12 Division 2

HARRY Johnson and James White grabbed Ferndale Rodbourne Youth’s consolation goals in their 5-2 loss to Brinkworth Cats Red.

Under 13 Division 1 (9v9) ZAK Thompson struck four times as Wootton Bassett kept second place in the league following an 8-1 victory over Lydiard Youth.

The other goals came from Grant Moynihan, Jordan Langford, Todd Goddard and Brad Sealey which keeps Bassett unbeaten in the league this season.

Under 13 Division 1 (11v11)

CALNE Rovers continued their recent good form against Stratton as they emerged 4-1 winners.

Rovers captain Kai Morgan scored twice with Toby Hook and Finn Crofts also netting.

Under 14 Division 1

SWINDON Supermarine took the lead early on against Calne when Cameron Shrubb rounded the keeper.

Calne put Supermarine under pressure in the second half but could not convert their chances and the game ended 1-0.

Under 15 Division 2

ELDENE Rangers sealed a 5-0 victory over Ramsbury with goals for Luke Gay (2), Henry Jones (2) and Tyler Cobb.

Under 16 Division 2

CROFT defeated league leaders Highworth with a fine display of football.

Goals from Josh Ayres and Alex Smith ensured a 2-1 victory.

Lambourn Sports kept their unbeaten run going with a 4-2 win at Cirencester in muddy conditions.

Eddy Head hit a hat-trick and Liam Glendinning completed the scoring.

Under 13 County Cup

THE battle of the two unbeaten teams in Division Two saw Wootton Bassett Town Yellow twice come from behind against Wroughton Youth.

Goals from Callum Bridges and Euan Burke with a thumping free kick saw Bassett level the match at 2-2, before Joe Fenton got the winner with a bullet header.
