CHIPPENHAM lost out in a National Three South West try feast, a total of 15 being scored.

They visitors were behind within a minute of the kick off as Brixham ran through the defence.

A penalty on six minutes extended the lead, but three minutes later, Chippenham’s top try scorer Lewis Surry went over for the first of his three tries, Sam Saunders converting.

Surry again touched down after Brixham had added another try, Saunders adding the extras and the sides continued to trade scores, full-back Chris Simmons responding for the Wiltshire men and Sanuders converting after another home score.

A further Brixham try left them 31-21 ahead at the break but, in the first 20 minutes of the second half, Chippenham fell apart, conceding five tries.

At 64-21 the game was over for Chippenham, the best that could be achieved being a try bonus point.

This came through centre Rupert Crockett, who outsprinted the home defence, Saunders again converting.

Brixham crossed for their 10th try of the afternoon, but Surry jinked through the defence to complete his hat-trick and become joint top try scorer in the division.
