FROME Town had an evening to forget last night as they crashed out of the Somerset Premier Cup at Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South and West Taunton Town.

Josh Ford headed in against his former club to claim his first goal for the Robins, who lost Tom Evans to an injury in the warm-up, while debutant Jordan Copp was also on target but a hat-trick from Taunton's Rodney Marsh and goals from Raith Plant and Simon Ingram heaped misery on Darren Perrin's side.

Frome face a vital trip to Redditch United in the Toolstation League Premier Division this weekend.

The Worcestershire side are a point behind Perrin's men in 20th place but have three games in hand.
