DAI Greene dug deep to reach the semi-finals of the 400m hurdles of the World Athletics Championships this morning.
The defending world champion, who is based in Melksham, has been stuggling with a lack of fitness as he continues his comeback from a a calf tear but the 27-year-old Welshman finished fifth in 49.79 seconds but was moved up to fourth after Puerto Rican Eric Alejandro was disqualified.
Greene, who is coached by Broughton Gifford's Malcolm Arnold at the University of Bath, is set to be in semi-final action at 5.05pm UK time tomorrow afternoon.
