Chippenham caretaker assistant coach Adam Tudor on today's FA Cup defeat: "We're extremely disappointed. It's a game we should be winning.
"We started poorly in the first half and then everything that we talked about at half-time was forgotten when we came out in the second half.
"Other than a spell in the first half and a spell in the second half, I thought that we were on top but we couldn't get that third goal.
"We had to make a change at half-time because of an injury, taking off Ben Murray, and putting Griff (Alan Griffin) at the back but we just did everything but put the ball in the net.
"It's disappointing because cup runs are important for the club; for the promotion that it brings and the financial side of things, but unfortunately, that's not up for grabs."
But that's that. There'll be no FA Cup run for Chippenham Town this season as they come unstuck at Yate Town in the first qualifying round.
The hosts were the better side for most of the first half and those two quick-fire goals at the start of the second period won the tie.

We're into the third added minute and Chippenham win a corner...Ben John is going up!
McClennan gets in down the right and the ball eventually falls to Isaac Reid, whose strike was on target before it was cleared by the Yate defence
We're into added time now
Corner to Chippenham in the final minute. Griffin goes close to making contact but the delivery whistles out to safety
Five minutes left for Chippenham to find an equaliser
A late lifeline for the Bluebirds? A McClennan corner takes a deflection off the outstretched arm of Yate keeper Horsell and fortuitously bounces into the net off the back of Greg Tindle! It's 3-2 at Lodge Road

Bluebirds go close with ten minutes to go. Iain Harvey hits an instinctive effort goalwards but it's headed off the line!
Chippenham bombard the Yate box for a spell but just can't find a shooting opportunity.
There's a short break at the moment as Hulbert requires attention following a hefty last-ditch challenge from Guthrie
Yate break on the counter-attack and somehow it's four v one! But Hulbert goes for the top corner and gets his strike all wrong
Chippenham's Tovey is booked. Somehow. The full-back puts in a strong challenge on Cox and the Yate man yelps in pain. But Tovey took nothing but the ball and is harshly shown a yellow card for his troubles
Chippenham are huffing and puffing at the moment. Yate look content to sit on their healthy lead and the Bluebirds can't quite find a way to get in behind the home defence
SUBSTITUTION: Joe Lennox comes off for former Yate striker Tom Knighton
Then McClennan has a go with a fierce effort from range, that's beaten away by the Yate keeper
Guthrie goes for goal from a free-kick but Horsell gathers the ball
So there's a mountain to climb for the Bluebirds now. They're facing up to falling at the first hurdle in the FA Cup unless they find something from somewhere - fast.
We're 12 minutes into the second half at Lodge Road
Staley gets hold of the ball in the box and lays off into the path of Meaker, whose strike is turned around the post by John. Yate have got their tails up
It's all going wrong for Chippenham. Haldane plays a superb one-two with winger Staley, who fires hom across the face of John to make it 3-1. The Bluebirds are shellshocked as the Bluebells score two in the space of four minutes!

At the other end, Purnell hits a side-footed effort narrowly wide of the target
Yate restore their lead and that was way too easy from a Chippenham perspective. Hulbert gets in down the right flank and crosses for Meaker, whose found space inbetween Tindle and Griffin, to nod home into the net

Second half underway
Alan Griffin goes back to centre-back, with Reid up top
The two sides emerge for the second period and Chippenham have made a change, with striker Isaac Reid replacing defender Murray
And that brings proceedings to a close after a frantic end to the first half.
Yate have been impressive so far and deserved their lead after carving out a host of goalscoring opportunities but it's level at half-time after that equaliser from McClennan.
It's finely poised in the FA Cup

At the other end, Yate's Cox puts a dangerous ball into the box that goes all the way before John gathers
And McClennan almost nets an even more spectacular second! The Bluebirds man senses the chance to lob Hosell from range and forces the Yate keeper to tip over his own crossbar at full stretch!
And respond they do. Chippenham level with a cracker from Joe McClennan. The winger picks up the ball in the centre of the pitch and drives left before smacking a superb left-footed strike past the despairing Horsell.

The Bluebirds need a response now. There's around five minutes of the first half remaining at Lodge Road
You can't say it hadn't been coming. There's a bit of a scramble midway into the Chippenham half as Haldane attempts to carry the ball forward and it eventually falls to winger Ross Staley, jinks to the left before firing a bouncing effort from range that beats John before nestling in the side-netting

Despite that chance, The game has quietened down somewhat. It's evenly-matched and Yate have had all of the chances, but crucially, it's still goalless
Yate's Hulbert sends Meaker racing towards goal with a superb ball. The striker goes for goal from a wide angle but John stretches out an arm to stop the effort
McClennan hits a ferocious effort from range but it's actually stopped by his team-mate Griffin! The Bluebirds win a corner as Yate clear up the afters
Harley Purnell hits a powerful strike goalwards from range but his effort slams into a host of Yate bodies in the area
Chippenham haven't really hit their stride yet but it's still very early days
Another big chance for the hosts. Striker Meeker beats Ben Murray to the byline and crosses for Hulbert, who skews his effort across the face of goal
Griffin beats Yate keeper Martin Horsell to a Guthrie cross but there's no-one following up to have an effort on goal
And Yate should be ahead! Cox picks out former Frome Town man Ricky Hulbert with a pinpoint cross but the striker somehow brings the ball down out of the air tamely, rather than getting a shot away!
The Yate bench have their heads in their hands
Ben John is tested early on! The Bluebirds keeper has to tip Jake Cox's deflected free-kick over the bar.
Shortly afterwards, Ross Staley lets fly from range and it's far off-target. The hosts have started brightly
Yate win a free-kick in a shooting position after Haldane takes a tumble on the edge of the area
Guthrie has started at left-back but McClennan and Lennox look to have been something of a free reign behind the strikers.
The pair are both playing extremely narrow
And we're undeway in the FA Cup! Chippenham kick-off going from right to left
Chippenham are wearing thier lime green away strip whilst Yate in their usual White shirts. Remember, there'll be replay at Hardenhuish Park next Tuesday if today ends in a draw
And the two sides are out at Lodge Road

So it looks as though the Bluebirds will revert to their usual 4-4-2 formation today but with Jack Allward away on holiday, it looks as though one of the wingers will have to fill in at left-back. Could that be debutant Joe Lennox or James Guthrie?
Another possible line-up could see Tovey, Murray and Tindle line up in defence, with Guthrie and Lennox on the flanks and McClennan playing in the hole behind the two strikers.
We'll see in about 15 minutes' time!

In case you haven't been keeping a close eye on gazetteandherald.co.uk/sport, you may have missed the news that Chippenham caretaker boss Steve Winter has been busy adding to his squad this week.
Former Plymouth Argyle winger Joe Lennox has come to Hardenhuish Park, along with ex-Clevedon Town defender Ben Murray.
Full-backs Stuart Tovey, who was signed from Paulton Rovers, and Luke Murden, made their Bluebirds debuts in last Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Cambridge City, and could also be involved today
Also involved today on the home side is defender Tom Seery who had a brief spells with the Bluebirds last season.
Former Bristol Rovers and Port Vale striker Lewis Haldane (pictured), who lives in Chippenham, is expected to lead the line for Yate.
The Bluebirds' memorable cup run last season saw them come agonisingly close of reaching the first round of the competition before falling to a late Gloucester City goal at Cheltenham Town's Whaddon Road ground.
Yate, meanwhile, went on a historic run to the first round. And starring in that cup run were Tom Knighton (pictured after scoring against Newport County last year) and Harley Purnell, who look set to take on their old club this afternoon.
