CHIPPENHAM Town last night released defender Stuart Tovey from the club.

The former Paulton Rovers full-back was signed by former boss Steve Winter in September, making his debut in the league defeat at Cambridge City, and went on to make nine appearances for the club.

The 27-year-old also scored his only goal in a Chippenham shirt in the Bluebirds' Red Insure Cup clash with Merthyr Town last month.

Boss Mark Collier signed former Swindon Town players Lloyd Macklin and Bryan Smith earlier this week.
