IN ONE of the handful of local games to survive the elements last weekend, Devizes Town saw their winning run in the Toolstation League First Division brought screeching to a halt by Almondsbury UWE.
Justin Webster and Darran Walters' side had won four on the spin but they were thrashed 4-1 at home, with Mark Barnes netting Devizes' consolation goal.
Webster and Walters' men are due to travel to travel to Hardenhuish Park tomorrow night to take on local rivals Chippenham Park.
Meanwhile, there was also disappointment for Calne Town, who suffered a third straight loss at mid-table Ashton & Backwell United.
Glenn Armstrong was on target for Simon Gardner's men but the Lilywhites went down 2-1.
Calne will be hoping to bring around a change in their fortunes when they host Portishead Town this weekend.
