SWINDON Town Ladies are hoping to return to competitive action on Sunday after a break of three weeks.

Town are due to entertain Exeter City in the South West Combination League in what will be their first home fixture since December 8.

The Robins have kept top spot despite their recent lack of matches, although the chasing pack have games in hand.

Exeter are currently in sixth place and when the two sides met in Devon earlier in the season Town won 4-1.

Manager Jason Brizell said: “Everyone is buzzing and ready to get back into league action. Training has been good and last week’s result against Women’s Super League Oxford United has given everyone a lift.

“Exeter are a good side and have always given us a good game. We have got to take one game at a time and, although we have played more games than others who are challenging for the title, we have got the points and have got to keep the pressure on them.”

Swindon will hand a league debut to under 19 Portuguese international goalkeeper Sara Moreria but will be without top scorer Ellie Maynard due to suspension, as well as the injured Robyn Levett.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 2pm at Fairford Town’s Cinder Lane ground.

SQUAD: Sara Moreria, Amy Baker, Laura Morgan, Mellissa Farrow, Beth Thompson, Sam Quinn, Laura McGlone, Chyna Collings, Tara McGee, Alice Smith, Georgia Walters, Kelly Nightingale, Michelle Rich, Sally Butterfield.
