SWINDON Hockey Club’s two mixed under nine teams were able to shine in the rain at the Wotton-under-Edge’s 25th anniversary tournament last weekend.
The A team won two, drew three and lost just one of their six matches while the B team fared even better as they won three, drew two and lost one.
Despite the wet weather the Swindon players played mature hockey, with passing moves from the back, through midfield and into the forwards.
Swindon under 12s player Nat O'Dwyer showed her own maturity by managing one of the teams on the day.
