More of the same for Hill as Purton look to maintain form

PURTON captain Elliot Hill will look for his side to maintain their recent good run of form when they entertain Marshfield in the Wiltshire Division.
After last Saturday’s 133-run success over Nationwide House, which saw Tom Bowler hit a century and claim 6-23, Hill is keen for his fourth placed side to keep climbing the table.
“We have put in some good performances over the last fortnight against sides in the lower half of the table,” Hill said.
“But now we face a Marshfield side who have made a pretty solid start to the season and hopefully we can continue with what we have been doing.
“We are a relatively new group of players and we are all coming together quite nicely now.”
Hill was also full of praise for his in-form all-rounder Bowler, who’s Nationwide House match winning efforts came hot on the heels of his 6-25 and unbeaten 43 in the eight wicket win over Calne the previous week.
“He’s not doing to bad at the moment is he?” Hill said. “He has got over 200 runs in the league so far and 19 wickets - he is a pleasure to have in the side and hopefully he can continue doing what he is doing.”
Goatacre will look to put their National Village Cup exit behind when they face Keynsham in Premier Two.
After their 19-run loss at Dorset League side Parley last Sunday, Brad Dawson’s men face a tough test against a team sitting in third place.
Goatacre, who’s game last Saturday was rained off, have only won two of the four games they have played in the league so far.
Keynsham, meanwhile, have won three of their five matches including last weekend’s five-wicket success over Thornbury.
Nationwide House will be aiming to secure their first win of the campaign in Wiltshire Division when they visit mid-table outfit Trowbridge.
The loss to Purton last Saturday was the fourth of the campaign and they are 19 points adrift at the bottom.
Trowbridge come into the game following last week’s six wicket loss against Calne.
