THERE are just a few weeks left for you to nominate a young athlete who you believe deserves a grant from our Sports Stars of Tomorrow initiative organised with Devizes-based charity Bag4Sport Foundation.

The charity will hand out four grants to youngsters from the Wiltshire Times patch who need financial help to reach the top in their chosen sport.

Two winners will receive £500 each, with £100 each going to two runners-up. But your entry must arrive by July 31 to be in with a chance of winning.

One of last year’s winners, Harriet Eyles from Rams-bury, was ranked in the top ten in the UK for U12s earlier this year.

An injured elbow means she is learning how to use her left hand when playing.

Mum Ros said: “Harriet's problem has recently been diagnosed as a piece of cartilage coming adrift.

Undeterred by her injury, Harriet is now ranked ninth in the UK at javelin at U13 level, winning the Wiltshire title and will represent the South West in August.

To be in the running to receive a grant of up to £500, get your parent, teacher or coach to fill in the form in this week's Wiltshire Times or go to the Bag4Sport Foundation website bag4sport.co.uk or email foundation@bag4sport.co.uk.

All entries must be received by July 31. We will need to know why the nominated person needs help and their achievements to date.

Any youngster up to the age of 16 can be nominated but they must not already be receiving a Lottery grant.

We will pick two winners from the Wilshire Times area as well as two runners up.
