Winsley remain on the tail of Wadworth 6X West of England League Wiltshire (2nd XI) Division leaders Marshfield after a dominant batting performance against Great Bedwyn.

Ted O’Leary’s 188, including 31 fours, plus 46 from Ged Roddy and 43 from Dominic Alsop got Winsley to 321-1.

Bedwyn reached 227-8 before the close, Joe Blundy with 63 as Alsop and Tim Merrell both took two wickets.

Westbury were also beaten, by 42 runs at home to Purton, who reached 248-7 with David Allen scoring 88 and Osmond Shallow taking 3-56.

Kane Scott scored 51 for Westbury, who got to 206-6 as Farhaan Khan took 2-18 and Pattrick Whittaker 2-34.

Corsham suffered a setback in their Premier One (2nd XI) campaign as they lost by seven wickets at Bridgwater.

The visitors totalled 236-5, with Adam Mitchell striking an unbeaten 61 and Andy Davis 58, but the home side reached the target in the 41st over for the loss of three wickets.

Warminster remain near the foot of the Premier Two (2nd XI) table after a crushing 109 defeat at Chard.

Amritpal Singh took three wickets as Chard reached 287-8 in their 54 overs and, despite a knock of 69 from Ankit Shastri, Warminster were dismissed for 178 in 40 overs.

Trowbridge remain winless at the foot of the Glos/Wilts (2nd XI) table as they lost to Dumbleton by 88 runs.

There were two wickets each for Ritesh Pal and Pete Andrews as Dumbleton reached 260-6 in their 45 overs.

Dave Reynolds with an unbeaten 73 held up for the home side, who reached 172-8.
