ALUN Rossiter has revealed the club will be working with young reserve Nathan Greaves prior to Thursday’s meeting with Leicester to ensure the teenager gets over his current issues.
The 16-year-old endured a disastrous evening in the Robins’ win against Poole on Thursday, retiring from all three of his races as he failed to score a point on a night where he consistently had to pick himself up off the deck.
But, having showed promise over the last few months, Rossiter and his riders’ mechanics are going to work with Greaves on his bikes on Thursday and is hopeful improved set-up may provide the answers he is looking for.
“His head was shot to bits on Thursday and we are going to have to work on him before the start of the meeting next week to make sure things are right,” he said.
“It will be working with him on his bikes, that’s what we’ll do, we’ll have the mechanics looking at things and trying to set it all up for him.
“He was racing and that’s what’s frustrating because he could have had a few more points.
“There will be no quick or hasty reactions as he’s made progress but when he has nights like this he needs to learn and learn quickly.”
