TODAY is the last day to nominate a young athlete for our Stars of Tomorrow competition being run with Bag4Sport Foundation.

Among those in with a chance of winning a grant of up to £500 is BMX rider Jamie Phillips from Langley Burrell, near Chippenham.

Jamie, 11, who is a member of Bristol BMX Club is in the top ten in the country for his age group and has been as high as third. He is taking part in the World Championships in Holland this week and has competed in other major championships all over the world.

Any youngster up to the age of 16 can be nominated but they must not already be receiving a Lottery grant.

We will pick one winner and one runner-up from each of the Gazette’s three edition areas – Devizes, Marlborough and North Wiltshire. The winners will receive grants of £500 and the runners up £100.
