WILTSHIRE crashed to their first Unicorns Championship Western Division defeat of the season as last year's champions Cheshire wrapped up a comprehensive 226-run triumph at South Wilts today.

Despite a short rain delay during the course of the day, the home side were unable to bat out, having resumed day three on 36-1, chasing an unlikely further 396 runs to snatch victory.

More realistically, Mike Coles' leaders needed to bat out, but opener Jayden Levitt and Ed Kilbee added just another 36 in a partnership of 47 before Levitt departed for 41.

Kilbee (30) and Ed Young (42) added another stand of 40 but from 112-3, Wiltshire collapsed to 208 all out.

Coles made 39 off 56 balls but he had precious little back-up as Rick Moore claimed 3-45 and there were two wickets each for Adam Syddall, Danny Woods and Jack Williams.

Wiltshire face Shropshire in their final Western Division match starting on August 17, with the title still up for grabs.
