Preston Innovation Thatchers A took team honours in A division with 31 points and DW Builders topped B Division with 31 points.

Individual honours went to Mark Paling, of DW Builders, with 21 lb 9 oz of bream, perch, chub and roach.

THE Tuesday Trowbridge Seniors match at Rood Ashton was won byRoy Songhurst, from Melksham, with 130 lb of carp.

Bernie Ryan, from Devizes, was runner up with 73 lb 8 oz of carp, followed by Pete Thomas, from Bristol, with 43 lb of carp.

COMPETITORS in Sunday’s inter-club match between Airsprung and Royal British Legion found fish hard to tempt on the Bristol Avon at Barton Farm.

Airsprung clinched the team prize with a weight of 17 lb 4 oz to the Royal British Legion 13 lb 13 oz, while Bill Knight, of Royal British Legion, was top individual with 16 lb 10 oz of bream and roach.

Graham Pearce, of Airsprung, was runner up with5 lb of roach, followed by Don Keates, of Airsprung, with 3 lb 12 oz of roach.

Other placings: 4. Kevin Morris Airsprung 3 lb 3 oz; 5. Steve Ince Airsprung 3 lb 0 oz; 6. Lee Wakefield Royal British Legion 1 lb 13 oz.

SUNDAY’S Wilts Angling Open match fished at Eden Vale went to Pete Neate, from Holt, with 83 lb 6 oz of carp and skimmers.

Robin Guy, from Melksham, was runner up with 72 lb 6 oz of carp, while Tim Martin, from Frome, clinched third with 54 lb of skimmers.

ROACH provided most of the weights in Sunday’s Avon matchon the Bristol Avon at Melksham.

Tony Scott, from Swindon, captured top prize with 10 lb 14 oz of roach, while Craig Fletcher, from Bath, took runner up spot with 9 lb 7 oz of perch.

Brian Haigh, from Melksham, took third with9 lb 5 oz of roach.
