CHIPPENHAM march on at the top of South West One East after claiming another five-point success in Bedfordshire.

An intense start to the match saw Chippenham debutant Andy Rossiter sent to the sin-bin just two minutes in, ut his side soon had control of the set-pieces, earning a penalty which Sam Saunders converted.

The visitors' pressure continued, prop Luke Corbett driving through a ruck to touch down.

Buzzard responded with their opening try, but again the Chippenham pack took control with Bobby Lyons touching down following excellent phases of play and Saunders converting.

Chippenham second row Matt Bye burst through in the second half, folowed by a penalty try as Buzzard's scrum descended into disarray.

The sin-binnings of openside Chris Day and second row Nick Doyle alowed Buzzard to make the numerical advantage pay with two quick tries.

But Chippenham skipper Frazer Clilverd rallied his troops and Lyons ran in for his second, Saunders converting to complete victory.
