DEVIZES Town have now gone seven games without a win in all competitions after they slipped to defeat at Keynsham Town on Tuesday night.

Justin Webster and Darran Walters’ men found the net courtesy of goals from strikers Blaine Fitzgerald and Matt Minnis but they proved little more than a pair of consolation efforts as Devizes were downed in the final 15 minutes.

Fitzgerald and Minnis’ efforts clawed back a 2-0 deficit but the Nursteed Road men were eventually beaten 4-2, with the home side’s Tom Morgan and Ben Harris both netting two goals apiece.

On Saturday, Devizes slipped to a disappointing 3-1 loss at Wellington.

FItzgerald was on target again, with the Town man netting his fourth goal of the season, but the hosts’ Luke Redrup found the net twice.

Christopher Duchenski was also on target for Wellington as Webster and Walters’ side were left with a miserable journey back to Wiltshire.

Devizes’ run of four consecutive away fixtures continues this weekend as they travel to Almondsbury UWE, who are flying high in the Toolstation League First Division despite losing three of their last five.

Town then go to Wells City on Tuesday November 4.
