Matt Russell was on-target for Justin Webster and Darran Walters’ men but the Toolstation League Premier Division hosts roared back to book their place in the secound round.
George Boon netted a second half brace for the Bristol hosts whilst substitute Daine O’Connor was also on target.
Devizes, who are 12th in the First Division after tasting victory in their last three outings, go looking to bounce back to winning ways when they host 17th-placed Radstock Town this weekend.
