DEVIZES Town joint-manager Justin Webster said there was no disgrace in being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Radstock Town.

Radstock are three places below Devizes in the table but entered the game at Nursteed Road in flying form, having won each of their five previous league fixtures.

Mike Hardiman’s first-half strike had set them on course to make it six on the spin but Jake Waters found the net for the hosts after the restart to ensure it finished all-square.

Webster said: “It was a really good game and I think a draw was fair.

“They were better than us in the first half and took the lead. We then created a few chances early in the second half and managed to take one, and after that it was end-to-end stuff.

“They’re probably the form team in the division but we’d also won our last three league games. In the last five games, I think we’ve played some pretty damn good stuff.”

Devizes travel to second-in-the-table Ashton & Backwell United on Saturday.
