BRADFORD on Avon have given themselves a fighting chance of steering clear of the Southern Counties South relegation trapdoor after putting basement boys Supermarine to the sword 48-13.
The Ashley Lane side scored eight tries in all, wing James Hillier crossing for a hat-trick.
Fellow wide man Jarvis Conybear and full-back Charlie Holton both crossed twice, while fly-half Tom King also touched down for the home side and Josh Felix kicked four conversions.
Bradford are third from bottom in the table, but only six points adrift of Dorchester a place above them and coach Dave George said: “The pack performance was good with a lot of variation in the lineout.
“The scrum was solid enough but there were too many needless penalties for offisde in open play.
“But the backline played with simplicity and accuracy.’’
