CHIPPENHAM Under 15s eased their way to the Dorset and Wiltshire Cup with a 52-0 thrashing of Bournemouth at at Trowbridge's Dorrick Park.

The newly crowned champions came out on top in all areas of the match and ran in eight tries without reply.

Getting on the score sheet for Chippenham were Louis Ayliffe (2), Chris Moore, Ben Hathaway, James Utton, Lewis Tilley, Jack Smith and Connor Beer. The boot of Smith also added 12 points.

That cup success brought an end to a successful season for Chippenham, they played 26 matches, losing only once 892 points with only 159 conceded along the way.

The boys retained their three trophies from last season with victory in the Bristol Combination Cup, Wiltshire champions and Dorset & Wiltshire Champions.

n Marlborough Unders 11 ended their season as the Melksham Festival Winners.

In the first match, Marlborough started well and Alby Berridge found some space to cross for the opening try.

Marlborough continued to impress and it was Huw Turner who crossed for the second before Midsomer pulled a try back, but James Hagerty ensured a 3-1 victory.

Marlborough then faced Royal Wootton Bassett in their second game and quickly saw Zaki Murray and Jack Davidson race over for two tries apiece.

Harry Stuart and Hagerty added to the score as they both bagged a brace, while Berridge rounded off the Marlborough scoring in the 7-2 success.

In the third match, Marlborough and Devizes battled out a 1-1 draw with Olly Darlington get their score.

Then Marlborough faced Melksham and despite some fine tackling from Turner, Max Curnock, Davidson and McLeod ran out 4-0 winners.

Marlborough's final was against Avonvale and in a hard-fought contest it was Hagerty who grabbed the opening score before Davidson was put in for two well worked team tries.

Murray crossed for Malrborough's final score in the 4-1 victory.

With three wins, one draw and a loss Marlborough tied in first place with Devizes, however, having scored 15 tries to their rivals 12 they were crowned the winners.
