WARMINSTER are off the bottom of the Premier Two 2nd XI division after a comfortable seven-wicket win over Goatacre last weekend.
Akash Saraswat and Nathan Bond both took three wickets apiece as Warminster dismissed their hosts for 148 midway through the 43rd over before Bond hit an unbeaten 50 to guide his side to 150-3 in less than 23 overs.
Ninth-place Warminster now find themselves 12 points ahead of Old Bristolians Westbury and just six behind vanquished Goatacre.
In Premier One, Craig Chaplin claimed a fabulous five-wicket haul as Corsham beat local rivals Bath by 42 runs.
Simon Crampton plundered 82 to help as the home side posted 209-6 off their 45 overs at Station Road.
Luke Tapsfield (68) and Zacahry Millar (38) led a strong Bath reply and got them past the 100 mark for the loss of one wicket but the introduction of Chaplin (5-31) into the attack decimated the innings.
Paul Clifford (3-26) also chipped in as Bath collapsed to 167 all out.
Trowbridge beat Great Bedwyn by three wickets in the Wiltshire Division but Westbury lost to Calne.
