A THREE-WEEK fixture hiatus did Calne Town no favours as they went down by a single goal on their trip to Wellington.
Neurin Jones’ men had not played since going toe-to-toe with county giants Salisbury in the FA Vase on October 31.
And that extended break led to plenty of rustiness in Calne’s play as a solitary strike from Ian Bellinger was enough to secure the points for Wellington in Taunton.
The defeat is a fourth in a row in all competitions for Calne and they have fallen into the bottom five in the table.
They will look to arrest that when they travel to Wincanton Town on Saturday.
