With no win in their previous four matches against Freshford United, Warminster Town Reserves would have been expecting the worst when they visited the two-time defending champions.

However this term's new-look Warminster side proved that, thanks to a 4-2 victory over Chris Birleson’s side, they are serious title contenders as they ended their hosts hoodoo over them.

It looked as if it was going to be business as usual once Dean Ranger put Freshford 1-0 ahead from a Gavin Eyre free kick.

Warminster got themselves level through Sam Clift but the hosts regained the lead, Nick Ross getting on the end of an Eyre corner to make it 2-1.

The visitors rallied once again and parity was restored when Carl Clarke equalised before the break.

Warminster got their noses in front when Sam Clift kept his nerve to fire home from the penalty pot to claim his second of the game and with Freshford pushing for an equaliser they hit their hosts on the break and Matt Dyer made the points safe with his 11th goal of the season.

Hilperton United were looking for a hat-trick of victories over opponents White Horse FC when the pair met for a Leighton Sports Centre for third time this season.

Having already beaten them 5-0 in the league and then claiming a penalty shoot-out success in the A&B Cup and thanks to a Ben Smith thunderbolt they got it.

Smith earned Hilperton a 1-0 victory when he rifled home into the top corner from 15 yards, his winner coming in the first half.
