WESTBURY claimed their first win of 2016 as they comprehensively put Bath Saracens to the sword.

The home side started well, fly-half Aaron Vaughan slotting an early penalty and, with full-back Nigel Kershaw playing at scrum-half, his pace proved crucial as he sprinted over from a Westbury scrum, Vaughan converting to extend the lead.

Westbury continued to dominate the game and when the forwards powered towards the line Kershaw again nipped round the edge of a ruck to score his second, converted by Vaughan.

The home side lost number eight Nathan Brown to the sin-bin, Lewis Austin following him but once they had returned after half time, Westbury picked up where they had left off.

Two quick tries from prop Reece Ball and Brown sent them 27-0 ahead.

Second row Rob Lewis burst through the Saracens to score his first try for the first team and prop Daniel Haines rampaged over for the final try.
