SWINDON Supermarine eased to a 4-0 victory at rock-bottom Bashley in Southern League Division One South and West.

Dave Webb was urging his troops to ensure that that stayed professional in Hampshire this evening and they were quickly into their stride with only six minutes on the clock through Ryan Stanners.

Bradley Gray had several opportunities to stretch Marine’s lead in the first-half, including a penalty appeal waved away, but he could not find the net.

The South Marston side did double their advantage before the break when Ross Adams got the final touch following a goalmouth scramble in the 44th minute.

Chris Taylor made it 3-0 for Marine in the second half after some good work from Josh Morse, before Gray sealed the points with a fine lob late on.

Meanwhile, Hellenic League Division One West leaders Fairford Town progressed the third round round of the Supplementary Cup with a 2-1 success over Easington Sports at Cinder Lane thanks to goals from Dan Hill and Danny Hale.
