AFTER suffering a second defeat in the space of four days during last night's 39-33 loss at home to Belle Vue Aces, as well as Wednesday’s abandonment at King’s Lynn, Swindon Robins go looking to add a silver lining to a difficult week when they travel to the Lakeside Hammers tonight (8pm start).

However, the Robins will be forced to shuffle their pace, with Josh Grajczonek, Rohan Tungate and Charles Wright all riding for the Somerset Rebels whilst Stefan Nielsen is still waiting to find out the full extent of his hand injuries.

Swindon will operate a rider replacement for Tungate, whilst Bjarne Pedersen and Stuart Robson come in as guests but Rossiter will be looking for another temporary rider, with Branford, who was pencilled in, blowing two engines against Belle Vue.

Robins captain Jason Doyle believes that his team need a result in Essex.

He said: “Hopefully it’s not Black Friday. We need to do something special.

“I know we’ve got a few good guests coming in for us. Sometimes that works when we go to an away track so we need to really be on the ball and hopefully we can get a couple of points and make it easier for ourselves.

“With the way things are going, we’re going to be getting out of the top four soon if we don’t start getting everything right.”
