AN exciting match in Cambridgeshire ended honours even after Chippenham stormed back from a 2-0 deficit to lead 3-2, only to concede a late equaliser a minute from time.
However, with Leamington only drawing at home to Biggleswade, the Bluebirds held on to top spot in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division as well as keeping their unbeaten record intact.
Goals either side of the interval, with James Hall scoring the first before setting up Declan Rogers for a second, looked to have put the Saints in the driving seat.
Collier then brought on Alan Griffin and Mark Preece and switched formations. However, it was fellow substitute Matt Jones who brought the league leaders back into the match when he converted a cross from Matt Smith.
Two minutes later Griffin got on the end of an Andy Sandell cross to make it 2-2.
A header from Will Richards from a Sandell cross appeared to have completed the comeback but Saints’ Tyler Parr made it 3-3 when he headed home an 89th-minute corner.
Results elsewhere meant the Bluebirds held on to top spot as they entertain neighbours Cirencester Town on Monday afternoon.
