SWINDON Supermarine failed to build on a promising start as they crashed 4-2 at Cirencester Town in the Southern League Premier Division this afternoon.
Dave Webb's visitors made the ideal start when Joe Selman broke clear of the defence to fire home.
But Cirencester were level midway through the first half as Swindon Town youngster Tommy Ouldridge curled home from long range and Ben Whitehead put the hosts in front before the interval.
In the second half Brad Gray hit the woodwork for Marine but they got back on level terms midway through as Josh Parsons notched.
Ciren though retook the lead almost immediately from the kick-off via Henry Spalding before a defensive mix-up allowed the hosts a fourth.
Chippenham Town had Darren Mullings sent off as they went down to their second National League South defeat of the Christmas period, 2-1 at Hungerford Town.
The Bluebirds fell behind as Will Richards deflected into his own net, but the visitors were back on level terms before half-time as Mullings netted the equaliser.
However, Mullings was then shown a second yellow card in the second period and Hungerford took advantage, Alex Wall bagging the winner.
A first-half strike from Kieron Gleed settled the Hellenic League Premier Division derby between Royal Wootton Bassett Town and leaders Highworth Town in the latter's favour.
