SWINDON slipped six points behind GoCrea8 League Conference North leaders West Wilts despite recovering from a poor first half to earn a 2-2 draw against Swansea City on Saturday.
Swindon started the game with 10 men but maintained a composed approach as they waited for their 11th player to arrive.
Almost as soon as he did, the home side found themselves behind when a shot was accidentally tipped home by James Lewis.
A second for Swansea followed from a shot on the reverse beyond Alan Gough.
The second half saw Swindon improve, though they continued to struggle with injuries as Henry Cheney was immobile upfront.
From a short corner Cheney’s shot from the top of the circle halved the deficit and with 10 minutes to go, Tom Wickens hit a speculative cross-shot that found its way beyond the keeper.
Wickens was struck on the nose by a stick late on, reducing Swindon’s numbers again.
